Diary of a Commoner

Tis' day we have all come to rejoice in the crowning of great Caesar! In all my many years of life, nor did I ever think I would live to see something such as this! A noble man, Marc Antony, had came to offer proud, honourable ! However, that is not what has happened for Caesar refuse the crown which was shaped like a coronet, the silence of the public was of nothing I have ever experienced before, then came the cheers of the crowd when they had all realised that Marc Antony had offered it a second time, but yet again he has declines, and lastly a third, with each decline becoming more and more painful for the Romans and Caesar himself. However, in my mind I knew what this was, it was an act of modesty! O' Caesar honourable, modest Caesar I cheered! What a leader you have become o' noble Caesar.

Tis' been ten minutes since Caesar has spoken and the streets of Rome are still congested and crowded! Cobblers are taking the day of because of Caesar and are roaming the streets drunk, fights are breaking out because of political beliefs and children have stopped there play to come watch the phenomenon that is Julius Caesar! But where thy are the senators Brutus, Cassius, Marullus, nor Flavius were nowhere in sight, where have they gone? They out of all people shan't have missed today. But no matter today was a great day with unexpected twist and turns and even though Caesar was not crowned today it will happen when the time comes!
